Healthy Chocolate Bread Recipe

Why stop at white bread, when you can create your own healthy version of chocolate bread complete with chocolate icing? To double the fun, put some chocolate spread on it.

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cups coconut flour
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ cup raw cacao powder
  • 1½ cup avocado, mashed
  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2½ tablespoons coconut cream
  • 3 tablespoons coconut nectar
  • 2 eggs

Directions:

  1. Pre heat oven to 180C.
  2. Mix coconut flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Add the avocado and mix until creamy. If you’re feeling lazy, pulse it in a food processor.
  4. Add the rest of the ingredients and pulse to combine.
  5. Bake at 180C until a toothpick inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean, approximately 45 minutes.
